What is TELEC certification
TELEC is also called MIC certification in Japan, and TELEC is one of the designated issuing agencies of MIC, so it is collectively called TELEC certification. TELEC is a compulsory certification for wireless products in Japan: the "Radio Law" requires the type approval of designated radio equipment (ie, technical compliance certification). The certification body is a registered certification body recognized by MIC in the scope of designated radio equipment. TELEC (Telecom Engineering Center) is the main registered certification body for conformity certification of radio equipment in Japan.
TELEC certification type
1. Test Certification
Test certification is to verify each equipment unit, and the certification is only valid for each equipment unit that has been verified.
2. Type Certification
Type certification refers to the verification of samples of a batch of equipment of the same design and manufacture. The certification is valid for the batch of equipment, but if the design or manufacturing of the equipment is changed, the equipment will need to be re-certified.
Analysis of TELEC certification difficulties
1. Prototype: A fixed-frequency prototype is required for testing (a fixed-frequency prototype refers to the signal sent by the product through external antenna software or custom);
2. Mode: The product needs to support two transmission modes: single carrier and modulated wave;
3. Module: The module of the product must have a shielding cover;
4. Appearance: The appearance of the product must have special screws or special glue or be fixed by welding to ensure that the appearance cannot be easily opened;
5. Certificate application stage: ISO certificate, antenna specification, and module specification must be provided when applying for a certificate (but many customers are difficult to provide three complete information).
